In January we all start off strong with new year’s resolutions and goals, more determined than ever to be better. whether it’s financial goals, fitness goals, Spiritual goals – we mean it this time, right? there is nothing more satisfying than a fresh calendar and some new to do lists of all the things we will do in the new year. and then…
the reality of life smacks us right in the face. the kids are in school and activities begin and there is a crisis at work or at home. everyone needs a little piece of you until you no longer have or make time for yourself. before we know it we have fallen right back into our busy life habits. you know the ones where we don’t make time to meal prep, we don’t want to wake up that extra 1/2 hour early to workout, we pick up the cookie instead of the protein bar. am i the only one?
no! i am sure there are others. i hear you and i see you! so what do we do? wait until next january to start again? absolutely not! we are going to start today-let’s spring clean. tidy up our to do lists – throw out the bad habits and straighten out the good. let’s get excited about the possibility of getting stronger and being our best selves right in the middle of april.
i am going to share a secret with you all. this has been my cycle for oh, i don’t know, 52 years!?! set the goals and then get detoured but in 2026, for the first time ever, i have been faithful to myself. notice i didn’t say perfect, just faithful. yes, i have strayed from the to dos – gotten the winter blues-been sidetracked. BUT instead of giving up until 2027, i just keep giving myself a little refresh. it’s paying off BIG TIME. i feel strong and i feel successful!
let’s do this together! if i can do this, so can you!
today i encourage you to do a little spring cleaning of your own. dust off the goals and resolutions and let’s get busy. let me know what you are aiming for – drop a comment here or message me on my socials. happy to share what is working for me as well. I would absolutely love to cheer you on! don’t wait for 2027 – start spring cleaning this week and let’s get strong together.
